A 100 IU Botox injection contains Botulinum Toxin Type A, a neurotoxin used for medical and cosmetic purposes like reducing wrinkles (frown lines, crow's feet), treating chronic migraines, excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), overactive bladder, and muscle spasms (cervical dystonia, cerebral palsy spasticity) by temporarily relaxing targeted muscles or blocking nerve signals. A single 100-unit vial is diluted and injected at various sites depending on the condition, with typical side effects including pain/bruising at injection sites, headache, and potential breathing/swallowing issues in rare, severe cases.
